Title: SOGI-PLL enhanced by one-cycle Fourier algorithm and finite state control

Keywords: dq-frame, Model Predictive Control, One-Cycle Fourier Filter, PLL, SOGI-PLL αβ-frame

Abstract
This work presents a method to estimate the phase angle of the mains voltage - based on a finite set of angles - in the condition of failures in distribution systems, such as symmetric and asymmetric voltage sags, unbalances, harmonic distortions and frequency variations - for single-phase systems. The method is composed by the One Cycle Fourier Filter (OCF) together with the finite position technique (FPS), and it is called PLL with One Cycle Fourier Filter with Finite State Control (OCF-FPS-PLL). It uses a synchronous voltage vector decomposition procedure on the stationary αβ frame of the SOGI structure. The performance of this procedure is improved by means of a one-cycle Fourier filter (OCF) where the voltage extracted from this filter is then treated by an algorithm that is implemented by a set of finite positions (FPS) to estimate the phase angle. In addition, comparisons are made between the structure SOGI using the PLL in the synchronous reference frame (SRF-PLL), the structure SOGI using the moving average filter (MAF) and the structure SOGI using the one-cycle Fourier filter (OCF), both also using the PLL in the synchronous reference frame. The results obtained in an experimental bench validate the proposed method, considering the non-use of Proportional+Integral (PI) controllers by PLLs as a contribution to estimate the phase angle of the network.
